Building The Education Revolution
2008
It was during the Building the Education Revolution in 2008 that the Connectivity Centre concept was refined. Through the centre over 100 long term unemployed were engaged. During construction in the Western Sydney region, candidates were provided training and were able to obtain construction skills, certificates in first aid, scaffolding, working at heights, green skills, industry safety induction card etc.
The project exceeded the Indigenous and local employment targets on this project by 2.3 times the contractual obligation.
